How To Set Up Your New Professional Emails Across All Your Devices

Outlook, MacMail, iPhone & Android

Getting Started with Your New Email Accounts

Welcome to your new email system hosted by Construction-Websites.co.uk (trading as SimplyGraphics). When you purchase a website and hosting package with us, professional email addresses are included automatically - helping you present a polished, credible image to your clients. These emails use your domain name, such as info@yourcompanyname.com, and look far more professional than free services like Hotmail, Gmail, or Yahoo.

Your package includes up to ten individual email addresses, each with their own inbox, password, and 10GB of storage. During setup, we’ll ask which passwords you’d like to use. If you ever forget one, just give us a call and we’ll reset it for you.

You can access your emails on various devices, whether that’s a mobile phone, Outlook, MacMail, or our browser-based Webmail platform Stackmail. To help you get started, you'll find quick links and frequently asked questions below, to start using the benefits of setting up your new professional emails.

What Info You'll Need to Set Up Your Emails

Before you start configuring your emails, make sure you have the following account details ready. These details are consistent across all platforms - whether you’re setting up on Outlook, MacMail, or a smartphone:

  • Account type: IMAP (NEVER use POP!)

  • Incoming mail server: imap.stackmail.com

  • Outgoing mail server: smtp.stackmail.com

  • Incoming server port (IMAP): 993 (SSL)

  • Outgoing server port (SMTP): 587 (STARTTLS)

  • Username: your full email address

  • Password: the one you have chosen

If you encounter connection issues or certificate warnings, disable SSL/TLS encryption and change the incoming server port to 143.

Outlook on a PC

Outlook often comes pre-installed on most PCs and laptops as part of Microsoft Office. This is desktop software and should not be confused with Outlook 365/Hotmail. If Outlook isn’t installed, you may need to purchase it. Check out the video below to find a handy video guide on how to set up your new professional emails on a PC (please note these settings may vary from version to version of Outlook, but as long as you select IMAP and follow the instructions they are largely the same).

Outlook on a Mac

Use our video tutorial to set up your email on a Mac. As with the PC version, if you receive a certificate warning or connection issue, disable SSL/TLS and change the incoming server port to 143. This is desktop software and should not be confused with Outlook 365/Hotmail.

Mac Mail

Our video guide will take you through setting up your email using the native (and free) Mail app on your Mac. Troubleshooting tips are the same - disable SSL/TLS and switch to port 143 if needed.

Samsung Mobile Phones

Follow the step-by-step video to configure your email on a Samsung phone. It’s a straightforward process, and we’re here to help if you get stuck.

iPhones

Setting up your email on an iPhone is easy with our guided video. As with other devices, have your account details handy before starting.

Accessing Webmail via Stackmail

You can access your inbox anytime via our Webmail platform by visiting www.stackmail.com. Log in using your full email address and password. Webmail is a simple, web-based interface - ideal when you’re travelling or away from your work computer. While it doesn’t come with a mobile app and offers limited features compared to Outlook, it's a reliable option for checking emails on the go. If you forget your password, contact us and we’ll reset it for you - note that Stackmail does not allow password resets directly.

Note: We recommend to only use Stackmail in emergencies - such as when you do not have access to Outlook or Macmail, or when you are abroad and need to access emails via a web browser. As it is a direct window into our servers, the system is slower and does not have the many features such as Outlook or Macmail have, so best to use those when you can.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are my emails set up by Construction-Websites.co.uk?

After your hosting is configured, our team will create up to 10 professional email accounts based on your needs - ideal for staff or departmental use. Examples might include dave@yourdomain.com or accounts@yourdomain.com. These are provisioned on our servers and may take up to 24 hours to activate. We’ll provide your login credentials and prefer you share chosen passwords over the phone for security reasons. Note: This only applies if you're hosted with us. If you're using another provider like GoDaddy or 123 Reg, they’ll need to create your emails instead.

What if I forget my email password?

If you've forgotten your password, email us at hello@construction-websites.co.uk or give us a call. Due to GDPR regulations, we cannot retrieve old passwords, but can reset them for you.

How can I access my emails?

There are a few common ways clients typically check their emails:

  • Via Webmail at www.stackmail.com. This login-only portal is handy when working remotely, though it's more basic in features (better to use Outlook or MacMail for more features, if you have access to them).

  • Using Outlook software. Emails are downloaded directly to your computer for easy access. Outlook is a robust option and widely used in professional environments.

  • On mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Setup is quick and allows you to send/receive messages whilst on the move.

  • Through Gmail Business. If you prefer Gmail's interface, we can reconfigure your DNS settings. Just email us with the setup instructions provided by Google. Please note this transfers management to Gmail and incurs a monthly Google fee.

How much storage do I get, and can it be increased?

Each inbox comes with 10GB of space as standard. If you need more, we can upgrade your storage and include the cost in your annual hosting invoice.

Do you offer support for email setup?

Yes. We offer helpful video tutorials and advice for common setup issues. While we try to support all devices and software, issues with third-party applications may fall outside our scope. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, excluding holidays.

Can you recover my email password?

No, we cannot recover passwords due to the GDPR regulations. However, we’re happy to reset your password if needed. After the reset, be sure to update the new password on all your devices.

Can you back up our emails?

Our clients are responsible for backing up their websites, unless they opt in for an annual backup fee of £99 + VAT to be added to their hosting bill (this service takes monthly backups).

Any tips on avoiding spam?

Spam is unavoidable, but we help mitigate it by using ReCAPTCHA on your website forms. If your email address is publicly listed on your site, you may still receive spam. To stay safe:

  • Never download unexpected attachments

  • Use strong, complex passwords for your emails

  • Ignore scam emails - even those showing old passwords

  • Be wary of messages offering “cheap hosting” or SEO promises

If you’re solely hosted with Construction-Websites.co.uk, only trust communications from us regarding your hosting, domain, or emails.

Are there any charges?

Hosting is charged at £149 + VAT per year, or £249 + VAT per year for VPS server setups (for faster loading times and for eCommerce websites). Additional fees may apply for domain names (£19.99 per year), SSL certificates (£79 per year), and backups (£99 per year) - if you have opted into these services. Invoices are typically issued in November for the upcoming year. Hosting includes the secure storage of your website, domain, and emails.
